Privacy notice
This explains what happens to the details you give us when you ask for a site survey, call or message us. In short: we use them to deal with your enquiry and your job, nothing else. We don't sell them or use them for marketing.

Who we are
Jaconelli Builders, a family-run roofing, roughcasting and roofline business based in Glasgow. We decide how your details are used. To ask anything about your information, call us on 07546 892155 or email jaconellibuilders1@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you use the site-survey form: your name, phone number, email address (if you give one), the postcode or area of the property, the work you need, how urgent it is, anything you write about the problem, and any photos you choose to attach.
If you then call, text, WhatsApp or email us, we keep a note of what was said so whoever picks up the job knows the history. If you go ahead with work, we keep the job details: what was done, the price and the address.
To stop spam, the form also records a scrambled version of your internet (IP) address for a short time. We can't turn it back into your address, and we delete it after a day.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, arrange and carry out the site survey, give you a written price, do the work and deal with any guarantee or follow-up. The legal basis is that you've asked us to do these things before or under a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running the business properly (for example keeping a record of what we quoted).
Who handles it for us
We use a small number of trusted services to run the business. They only process your details on our behalf:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives the form.
- Google (Gmail) holds the email we get with each enquiry, including any photos.
- Supabase stores our enquiry and job records, on servers in London.
- Apple and Google notification services deliver a short alert (your name, the work and area) to our own phones when an enquiry comes in.
- When we reply, your message goes through WhatsApp, your mobile network or email, depending on which you'd like us to use.
Some of these companies are based outside the UK. Where your details leave the UK they are protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted within two years of our last contact with you. If we do work for you, we keep the job record for six years so we can deal with guarantees and keep the accounts the law requires.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn't use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics that follow you around the internet.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it or stop using it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
